Can I use existing Greenworks 40V batteries with this mower?

Yes, this tool-only package works with any Greenworks 40V battery from 2Ah to 6Ah capacity. The mower has two battery slots - one powers the machine whilst the second stores a spare battery for quick swapping. How does the self-propelled system work?

What's the difference between mulching, side discharge and collection modes?

Collection mode fills the 55L fabric bag, keeping lawns tidy but requiring regular emptying during longer mowing sessions.

A 2Ah battery charges in 60 minutes with the standard charger, or 30 minutes with the optional fast charger. Runtime varies from 20-40 minutes depending on grass conditions and drive usage. Is assembly required and what tools are needed?

Minimal assembly is required - just attach the upper handle section with two bolts that are included. No tools are needed as the bolts have hand-tightening knobs. The process takes approximately 3 minutes. The mower arrives mostly pre-assembled with the mulching plug already installed and cutting height pre-set to a medium position.

Can this mower handle thick or overgrown grass?

The brushless motor provides sufficient power for thick grass, but battery runtime reduces significantly in demanding conditions. For overgrown areas, use the highest cutting setting initially, then lower it for subsequent cuts. Side discharge mode handles thick grass better than collection mode. Consider multiple passes rather than trying to cut very long grass in one session.
