Bosch AdvancedRotak 36V-44-750 Kit (44cm, 36V)

What size lawn is the AdvancedRotak 36V-44-750 best suited for?

This mower has a 44 cm cutting width, which makes it a good fit for small to medium gardens. It's not meant for huge fields but handles typical UK back gardens well. The 50 litre grass collection bag means you won't need to empty it every five minutes either. If your lawn is on the larger side you might find yourself doing a few passes, but for most domestic gardens this width works fine.

How long does the battery last on a single charge?

The mower comes with a 4.0Ah PBA 36V battery. Runtime depends on grass length, thickness and how damp the lawn is. Bosch built this mower with Syneon Technology, which manages power delivery to stretch out runtime as much as possible. Thicker or wetter grass will drain the battery faster than short dry grass, so keep that in mind when planning your mowing session.

Can I adjust the cutting height and how?

Yes. There are 7 height positions ranging from 25 mm up to 80 mm. You adjust it at the push of a button, so there's no fiddling with tools or levers underneath the mower. This range covers everything from a close cut for a neat finish to a longer cut if you're leaving grass to recover after a dry spell.

How much does the mower weigh and is it easy to store?

Without the battery it weighs 16.5kg. That's fairly manageable for a cordless mower with this cutting width. Storage is made easier thanks to the Ergoflex handles with Ergoslide, which fold down. The grass bag also collapses. Between the two, you can tuck this mower into a shed corner or garage without it taking up loads of space.

What's included when I buy this mower?

You get the AdvancedRotak 36V-44-750 mower itself, one 4.0Ah PBA 36V battery, the AL36V-20 charger and a carton box for packaging. Everything you need to start mowing is in the box. There's no need to buy a separate battery or charger before first use.

Is the battery compatible with other Bosch tools?

Yes. This mower runs on Bosch's 36V POWER FOR ALL system. That means the same battery works across other 36V tools in the POWER FOR ALL range. If you already own other Bosch garden tools on this system, or plan to, you can share one battery between them rather than buying separate batteries for each.

How do I know when the grass collection bag is full?

The bag has a fullness indicator built in. It signals when the bag needs emptying so you're not caught out mid-mow with grass clippings spilling everywhere. The bag itself holds 50 litres and is made from a high-quality fabric designed to handle regular use without tearing.

What kind of motor does this mower use and why does it matter?

It uses a brushless motor. Brushless motors typically last longer than brushed ones because there's less friction and wear inside the motor itself. This also tends to mean more consistent cutting performance over time, since the motor isn't degrading as quickly as a brushed alternative might. For a mower you'll be using season after season, this is a useful detail to know.
