How long do the batteries last during mowing?

The dual 2.5Ah batteries provide approximately 2.5 hours of runtime, sufficient for lawns up to 230m². Battery life depends on grass thickness, cutting height and terrain conditions. Dense or wet grass reduces runtime, whilst regular maintenance mowing on dry grass maximises battery efficiency. The dual-port charger fully recharges both batteries in 2.5 hours.

Can I use different capacity batteries with this mower?

Yes, all Worx 20V PowerShare batteries are compatible, including 1.5Ah, 2.5Ah, 4Ah and 6Ah capacities. Higher capacity batteries extend mowing time - 4Ah batteries can handle lawns up to 460m². The mower automatically adjusts to different battery capacities and you can mix different sizes simultaneously for optimal performance.

What cutting heights are available?

Six cutting positions range from 20mm to 70mm, adjusted via a single central lever. Position 1 provides the lowest 20mm cut for fine lawns, whilst position 6 offers 70mm for longer grass or autumn cutting. The adjustment system requires no tools and can be changed instantly during mowing to accommodate varying grass conditions.

How does the cut-to-edge function work?

The cutting deck extends closer to the mower's edge than traditional designs, allowing cuts within 2cm of borders, walls and obstacles. This eliminates most trimming work around flower beds, pathways and fencing. The feature works by positioning the blade closer to the deck perimeter whilst maintaining safety standards and cut quality.

Is the mower suitable for uneven terrain?

The lightweight 12.1kg design and balanced weight distribution handle moderate slopes and uneven ground effectively. However, it's designed primarily for domestic lawns rather than rough terrain. The 34cm cutting width provides good manoeuvrability around obstacles, whilst the carry handle assists with transport over steps or difficult areas.

How much storage space does it require?

With handles folded, dimensions reduce to approximately 65cm x 42.5cm x 33cm. The compact design fits most standard garden sheds, garages, or utility rooms. Folding takes seconds without tools and the carry handle enables easy positioning on shelves or hooks. The 30L grass box detaches for additional space saving.

What maintenance does the mower require?

Regular maintenance includes cleaning the cutting deck after use, checking blade sharpness seasonally and storing batteries in dry conditions. The blade should be sharpened or replaced annually depending on usage. No oil changes, spark plug maintenance, or fuel system cleaning is required unlike petrol mowers, significantly reducing ongoing maintenance costs and time.

Does it work effectively on wet grass?

Whilst the mower can handle slightly damp grass, wet conditions reduce cutting quality and battery life significantly. Wet grass clumps in the collection box and may clog the cutting deck. For best results, mow when grass is dry. The Intellicut technology helps maintain power in challenging conditions, but dry grass always produces superior results and longer battery runtime.
