How long do the batteries last and what area can I cut?

Each 2Ah battery provides 25-35 minutes of cutting time depending on grass conditions and height settings. With two batteries included, you can mow lawns up to 400m² without recharging. Battery life varies with grass thickness, cutting height and terrain - longer grass and lower settings drain power faster.

Can I use these batteries with other Greenworks tools?

Yes, the 40V batteries are compatible with the entire Greenworks 40V tool range including strimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and leaf blowers. This system approach saves money and storage space compared to buying separate battery tools from different manufacturers. The batteries and charger work across all tools in the range.

What's the difference between mulching and collection modes?

Collection mode uses the 40L rear bag to gather grass clippings for disposal or composting. Mulching mode removes the bag and uses a special blade design to chop clippings into tiny pieces that fall back onto the lawn. Mulched grass decomposes quickly, adding nutrients and moisture back to the soil whilst eliminating disposal.

How heavy is this mower and is it easy to manoeuvre?

The complete mower weighs 15kg including one battery. Large 18cm rear wheels and ergonomic handle design make pushing effortless on flat ground and manageable on slopes. The weight distribution and wheel size handle uneven terrain better than smaller-wheeled models. A carry handle allows lifting when needed.

What cutting heights are available and how do I adjust them?

Five cutting positions range from 25mm to 70mm, adjusted via a single lever system. Position 1 (25mm) creates a close, manicured finish. Position 5 (70mm) suits longer grass and reduces stress during dry weather. The lever system is quicker and easier than individual wheel adjustments found on basic mowers.

How long does battery charging take?

The included charger fully charges a depleted 2Ah battery in approximately 120 minutes. Partial charging is proportionally faster - a half-empty battery takes about 60 minutes. The charger includes LED indicators showing charging progress and completion. You can charge one battery whilst using the other for continuous operation.

Will this mower handle wet grass and tough conditions?

The manufacturer recommends avoiding wet grass as it clogs the cutting deck and reduces battery life. However, many users report acceptable performance on slightly damp grass. The mower handles normal garden conditions including light slopes and typical UK grass types. Very long or thick grass may require multiple passes or higher cutting settings.

What warranty coverage is provided?

Greenworks provides a 3-year guarantee on the mower itself covering manufacturing defects and component failures. The batteries receive a separate 2-year warranty. This coverage applies to normal domestic use and excludes damage from misuse or wear items like blades. Registration may be required to activate full warranty terms.
